Actually,I don’t like such a crazy big city,Tokyo.
I cannot explain specific reason.

After coming back to Japan, I became to feel this city is starange place compared with another big city in foreign country.
Even for me, live in big city in Japan for 24 　years,Tokyo has strange atomosphere.

But I like Shina Ringo who is singer in Japan. Her songs were made in Tokyo and express the aymosphere of Tokyo well.

Tokyo doesn’t sleep all night.
However there may be another strange part where we cannot see…

実際、私は東京という巨大な街が嫌いだ。
具体的な理由は特に挙げられないけれど。

日本に帰ってきてからというもの、他国の都市と比べて、やはり東京という街は異様だと感じるようになった。２４年間、都心で生きてきた私でも、だ。

けれど、椎名林檎という歌手は好きだ。彼女の歌は東京で生まれ、この街の雰囲気をよく表していると思う。

東京は２４時間眠ることの無い街だ。
けれど彼女の歌は、こんな風に、私たちの見えないところで、違う東京が存在しているのではないかという気にさせるのだ。
